We were called out to fix a roof leak. When we did our inspection we discovered that this roof was leaking at a very common area... the area where two roof pitches meet. In roofing terms this is a transition from one pitch to another pitch and it usually occurs where a porch meets with the roof of the home. On the lower or flatter pitch, the previous roofer had installed a roll roofing that is designed for flat roofs and not roofs that have much of a pitch. So we removed that material. We then installed ice and water shield to make sure that this area did not leak again. This is a special underlayment designed for high water flow areas. We then installed metal roofing panels and made this roof look better than ever.
